Preston Country Club
Founded in 1925 on property originally belonging to George Washington, Preston Country Club offers golf and dining to the public as well as its members. As one of West Virginia's longest golf courses at 7001 yards from the tips, PCC has hosted the Men and Women's Tri-State for over 20 years, the Senior Tri-State and other area tournaments. We have been pleased to host civic groups, corporate outings, weddings and parties for various occasions.

Hovatter's Wildlife Zoo
Hovatter’s Wildlife, also known as West Virginia’s Zoo, is home to over 100 different species/over 300 headcount of native and exotic animals from all over the world! What started out as a small collection of deer, bear, cougars and tigers has turned into a menagerie of Chimpanzees, Bears, Giraffes, various species of Orange and White Tigers, Spotted and Black Leopards, Ring Tailed Lemurs, Baboons, and many other species! You always have the opportunity to feed the animals in the zoo; you can hand-feed the giraffes, hand feed hundreds of parakeets as they fly around you, and much more! (All food must be purchased upon admission. No outside food is permitted)
Our goal is to provide a family-friendly environment that allows each and every visitor to gain knowledge about our beautiful animal while they experience them up-close, make memories, and have fun!
Hovatter’s Wildlife Zoo will open for their 28th consecutive season in April of 2020.

Coopers Rock State Forest
It’s all about the views at Coopers Rock State Forest. Located 13 miles from Morgantown, a few minutes off Interstate 68, the forest has many overlooks of the canyon section of the Cheat River that offer breathtaking views in any season. The forest is an ideal getaway, and has numerous historical sites, hiking trails and recreational opportunities amongst the forest’s enormous boulders and cliffs.
